Dr. Caitlyn Foote: Medical, Surgical, & Cosmetic Dermatology

Residency: University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, KS

Medical School: SUNY Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, NY

Education: Bachelor’s of Arts, Fordham University, NY; summa cum laude

Certification:

Professional Organizations: Resident Member of the American Academy of Dermatology

Department of Dermatology: In the Department of Dermatology, Dr. Foote treats patients with skin problems such as acne, hives and skin tumors.

Why I Chose Health Care: Health care piqued my interest from a young age since both of my parents worked in the field. Seeing many providers treat their patients in a happy, caring, and informed environment early on, encouraged me to pursue a career in medicine. Dermatology is unique in that the skin is visible to everyone and having a dermatological condition can have a profound impact on the way an individual is perceived and potentially treated by others. It has been incredibly rewarding to treat patients and see the direct effects treating their skin has had on their life.

Personal: Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my husband, Tim, and two daughters, Azalea and Taylyn. Some activities I enjoy include dance, tennis, attempting (often not so successfully) Pinterest projects and exploring new places.

Why I Chose Health Care: I struggled with acne when I was younger, and was unable to adequately control it until I saw a board-certified dermatologist. Dermatologic conditions can be especially devastating due to the fact they are visible for others to see and can be stigmatized. I am especially passionate about reconstruction after skin cancer as this can be life changing.

Personal: I am originally from Indiana and most recently practiced in Missouri.  In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, biking, swimming and spending time with my husband and three sons.
